Fire Safety
A Code Red with a general location announcement is
made. The exact location of the fire is not announced
until someone notifies the operator with this information.
When there is a fire alarm, the chimes/bells will activate,
and the strobe lights will continue to flash. Advance
notification will be given for routine testing. A fire drill
may be conducted without prior notice.
Employees must respond to all alarms with urgency
unless informed otherwise. Refrain from traveling through
the fire doors until the all clear has been announced.
Healthcare workers must be able to identify fire risks to
prevent fires and must know what to do if a fire occurs in
an effort to protect our patients, staff, and visitors.
