The Joint Commission (TJC)
What is the purpose of The Joint Commission survey?
• We participate in TJC surveys as one way
to improve our quality of care and safety
as well as to maintain Medicare and
Medicaid certification.
• TJC Surveyors take an in-depth look at
our patient care processes, policies, staff
competence and leadership.
• Surveys are unannounced and can occur
anytime but usually every 3 years.
• You may be interviewed by a surveyor as
part of your job.
