Baptist Health communicates our ethical standards and
expectations in the Code of Ethics.
• The Code of Ethics is a written code of conduct that explains our
commitment to the highest ethical and legal standards. It provides
guidance about issues employees may face and gives an overview
of some of the rules, regulations, policies and laws we must follow.
• On a periodic basis it is distributed to all employees, physicians,
vendors and governing board members. On a daily basis it is
available on the intranet - click on Corporate Compliance.
• It is also publicly available on the Baptist Health Internet website.
From the main menu - click on About Us.
• In this context, compliance means following the rules,
regulations, policies, and laws created by the government,
insurance programs, and Baptist Health.
Your responsibilities under the Code of Ethics are:
• To make sure all your associations with patients and the
community are honest
• To make sure that you follow the Code of Ethics and all Baptist
standards and procedures
• To ask if you have any questions about the Code of Ethics and how
it applies to you
• To report any legal or ethical issues that arise as you perform your
job
